I had you at pumpkin spice latte, right?

I was scrolling through my Instagram feed and there it was, warm and comfy like a flannel scarf: the dairy free, Paleo, vegan, whole 30 pumpkin spice latte. Remember the controversy as we all discovered the pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks contained no pumpkin? Unfortunately what it does contain is dairy. The last time I had one (before crawling2handed came along,) it was overly sweet and artificial tasting. Five dollars for a disappointment! This beauty is the whole package: cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, real pumpkin for a boost of fiber, and of course there’s coffee and light airy foam. We know exactly what goes in our PSL and have no fear of cross contamination. I’d like to recommend my favorite milk frother especially for my fellow dairy free friends. I use this every morning with coconut milk and have fantastic hot or cold foam for my cappucinos, lattes, or macchiatos.

Amanda from Livingwellwithmysoul.com and I really hit it off as we were beginning our blog journeys. She’s a youth pastor’s wife out in California who has an amazing reason for changing her diet. Her husband had a hole in his heart and required surgery.  As part of his recovery the cardiologist suggested many dietary changes she didn’t feel good about. Lots of synthetic and heavily processed low fat ingredients loomed in the future. She knew better. Amanda chose to incorporate the whole 30 diet which eliminates dairy and many processed foods. The whole 30 lifestyle has helped her and her husband in their health journey and we get to benefit with her PSL recipe! Please like and follow her site, it is about wellness of all kinds.  I’m looking forward to loads more dairy free recipes we can all benefit from. Thank you Amanda!
